細木代表から海外の剣友にメッセージ
Dear Kendo players who are not so familiar with the Japanese, We, Ushioe-Minami-Kendo-Sports-Shonen-Dan, are given the first prize of Home Page Contest 2006 by the All Japan Kendo Federation this year.
It is our greatest honor.
So we would like to make the best use of this opportunity to mention about our club a little.
My name is Mr. Hosoki, Minoru, Kyoshi 7-dan, in charge of this club.
The club is in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture having 15 children, 5 junior and high school students and more than 10 instructors ranging from 1-dan to 7-dan.
We practice 4 times a week.
Our motto is "Quick, Strong, Right" and we try to carry out "Lightning Fumikomi and Prompt Hikitsuke" in order to achieve this motto.
Even though we try very hard, it is quite difficult to get it, as you know.
We also participate in some tournaments and championships held in the prefecture.
Our team has good friendly relationship among Germany, England, Italy, USA, Poland, and so on.
Mostly Kendo players come to visit us, but of course those who have nothing to do with Kendo as well.
Once German, English and New Yorker made up a team and participated in the tournament held in this city.
It was fun to watch them fight! This kind of thing(s) may happen in Kochi.
We would like to be of any assistance to you, even having no command of the Japanese language.
